Financial Information
The fee for your endodontic treatment will be based on the extent of treatment. Our office staff will be happy to explain our fees and polices when you call for your appointment.
For your convenience we accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard and Discover. We also offer CareCredit, a dental/medical finance company that offers interest-free financing for 6 months once the patient has been approved. We also offer Scratchpay, a similar company that allows you to make payments based on your credit score. Contact our office for details.
We deliver the finest care at the most reasonable cost to our patient's. Therefore the patients portion of payment is due at the time service is rendered unless other arrangements have been made in advance. All financial obligations will wbe discussed prior to treatment. If the patient does not have insurance then full payment will need to be made the day of the initial appointment. Should the patient have insurance, the benefits will be checked and the patient will be notified of their portion of the bill prior to dental treatment. Your account will be checked four weeks after service has been completed or at the time the insurance payment is received. Should the account have any excess funds, a check will be mailed to the patient. If the funds received do not meet the financial obligation of the treatment performed, a bill will be mailed to the patient. Wichita Falls Endodontics will do everything possible to maximize insurance reimbursement, but please remember that the patient is fully responsible for all fees charged by this office, regardless of your insurance coverage.
The cost of endodontic treatment can vary but will be discussed with patients prior to the start of the procedures. In general, endodontic treatment is much less expensive than removing the infected tooth and replacing it with an artificial tooth. For example, dental implants can take up to 12 months to complete and can be much more expensive than a root canal.
Insurance Information
Dental insurance is meant to serve as a financial aid, and will rarely cover the entire dental fee. We have found that most policies cover about 35% to 60% of endodontic services, although the exact amount will vary according to the type of plan purchased by you and/or your employer. Dental insurance is a contract between you, your employer and the insurance company. We are not a party to that contract but can help determine the patient’s portion of payment. Wichita Falls Endodontics will do everything possible to make this an easy transaction.
Please bring your dental insurance information with you to the initial appointment so that we can properly handle your billing. We will bill your insurance company for you on the day of service and handle all the paper work for you. Our staff is specially trained and can assist you in filing your insurance, assuring you the maximum insurance reimbursement. Any remaining balance after a four week period or once your insurance payment has been received, will be reviewed and directed toward the patient. If a surplus of funds is available a check will be mailed to the patient. If the funds available do not cover the treatment rendered, a bill will be mailed to the patient. Your prompt remittance is appreciated.
If you have questions regarding your account, please contact us at (940) 247-0286. Many times, a simple telephone call will clear any misunderstandings. Please remember you are fully responsible for all fees charged by this office regardless of your insurance coverage.
